Goudblond en ruim in het schuim. Hooiachtige geur, wat citrus en gist. Prettig muffig. Aparte saison. Goeie dorstlesser.

Apple cider and brewers yeast aroma. Hazy orange straw color. Woody basement tastes and moderate acidity. Unsweet with a significant amount of bitter after taste. Appropriate light carb.

September 2011. Bottle. Funky and citrusy aromas. Hazy straw yellow with a white head. Spicy, citrus, grassy flavors with a yeasty and bitter finish. Good beer.

Bottle corked and caged. Cork releases a loud pop, no gusher luckily. Pours a hazy blonde beer, big white head consisting out of small bubbles. Aroma is bland and yeasty, light funky. Flavor is also quite bland, really not much going on here. Easy drinkable though, high carbo level.

75cl bottle. Corks jumps out with a loud pop. It slowly gushing out of bottle. It pours clear pale straw colour with a huge white head. Foam reduces quite fast leaving a small amount of fine white bubbles. Aroma is brett, barnyard, hay, some flowers, violets, peaches, light hops. Smells like summer in the fields. Taste is bittersweet at the beginning with some hay, peaches and funk, then turns to some acidity, apricots. Finish is dry and recalls white wine. Some bitterness in the finish as well, grassy. Mouthfeel is light to medium with high carbonation. Overall, this is a perfect beer for the style. Really difficult to do better with a traditional saison.

750ml bottle from IPB.
Appearance : Clear yellow with medium foamy white head.
Aroma : Awesome rich yeasty notes. Great slightly spicy citrusy notes.
Taste : Great citrusy notes with yeast and rich full bodied wheat. Wheat and yeast on the finish. Quite dry.
Palate : Quite fizzy, almost too much but pretty good.
Overall : Really nice one. I don’t really get why the ratings are so low. Really rich and chewy malt/wheat notes. Nice saison yeast notes with that light citrusy tang. nice dry finish and nice big carbonation. Very nice beer and I’ll make sure to try this again.

Pours a pale golden color with a big foamy head and great clarity. On the nose its earthy and full of subtle complexity. Dusty hay, cracker malts, baked apple, wet grass, melon rind and a touch of herbal sweetness. The palate follows the nose with nice balance and a smooth soft mouthfeel. Nice lingering notes of citrus and straw.

Pours nice apple juice color, thinnish fizzy head. Aroma is barnyard funk, slightly metallic. Flavor is funk, with slight taste of metal, without much else. No alcohol, smooth, decent overall.

75cl bottle. Subtle and well-balanced saison that pours with a giant effervescent soapy white head, body is hayish gold. both dry and full of rich and funky citrus aromas, some creamy and sweeter witbier notes. Unnoticeable 6%, refreshing and great accompaniment to shell/fish. Finish is fresh bittering hops. Instant classic saison, which I enjoyed more than Dupont’s for its drinkability and mildness.
