Thick, fine foamed head. Fresh aroma with light maltiness. Very smooth and creamy texture and very soft, fine carbonation. Light, fruity sweetness fades slowly into a mildly bitter finish.

Fantastic froth head gives way to a complex full favoured honey coloured ale. Sweet initial notes with noticeable alcoholic content. Too drinkable at this ABV

Draught at Bottleworks. Pours cloudy orange with a gorgeous thick white head. Smells of citrus and Belgian yeast and phenols. Tastes of some spice above the aroma, with a mild warming alcohol and mild sweetness. Full bodied. Creamy texture. Finishes both dry and wet.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 oteyj (1753) - Washington DC, USA - DEC 10, 2011
Clear amber pour with a sudsy white head. Nail polish and bandaid in the nose with graham cracker and dough following. Chemical, but the deeper facets are great. Bready nectar, spice, and citrus abound. Medium body with medium coronation and a dry dough finish.

On tap at Brouwer’s for Big Wood, pours a hazy orange with a big white head. Aroma of yeast, apples / pears, dry white wine notes - just like a great tripel should be. Flavour of yeast, sweet candied green apples, dry pear, and slight champagne notes. Deep, complex flavours. Extremely enjoyable tripel.

Fra fat på Afspanning t’ Waagstuk, Antwerpen 28 Apr 11. Gyldenbrun. Høyt luftig skum. Skummet etterlater trappemønster på glasset. Behagelig krydderaroma. Rik fruktig smak. Mye krydder. Velintegrert. Varig krydret ettersmak. Alkoholen godt kamuflert. En utmerket aperitiff.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 5000 (3998) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - NOV 19, 2011
Draught @ Brouwer’s Café:   Deeper golden, bright, large foamy white head, nice lacing.   Strong bready nose, very yeasty, a little floral.   This one also brings some heat.   Very strong and alcoholic on the tongue.   Also very bready.   In the pale sense.   Wished this was a bit more floral, but as is its a strong tripel for sure.   Packs a wallop.   Big in body and mouthfeel.   Has a bit of pale fruit on the exit.   Good, but a bit of a bruiser.   Wished it were more floral but as is its pretty solid.
