omhper (10950), Stockholm, Sweden Dec 28, 2006 Updated: Jan 30, 2007Bottled, thanks Fukito! Dark mahogany with firm off-white head. Aroma mostly of caramelized sugar. Fairly sweet with evident caramel flavour. Medium bodied with soft mouthfeel. Thankfully the flavour of crystalized sugar does not carry over into sticky sweetness, so the beer reminds gentle and drinkable. Mildly herbal finish. Cornfield (4409), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Aug 11, 2005 Very tasty bock, pouring a deep brown body with a foamy tan head. The aroma is sweet, almost like wort, with the slightest touch of hop bitterness at the edges. This is creamy, or perhaps it just seems that way because of the rich, milk chocolate flavor that predominates. There’s a lightly roasted barley here, too, along with some coffee. It’s got a sticky sweet finish, but not cloyingly so. Why isn’t something like this imported from South America?

From RAYBOY01’s Fridge
Lubiere (3408), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jun 9, 2006 Hazy reddish brown ale with a thin off white head. Caramel aroma, with nice walnuts notes. Bery nice nutty malt in mouth, with roasted coffee notes, veering on a brown ale. Quite good. Medium bodied. On tap, May 2006. RAYBOY01 (1654), Chicago, Illinois, USA Sep 27, 2005 Sweet milk chocolate creaminess is the predominant note here, with a satisfying mouthfeel, moderate hop bitterness, and palate-coating sweet finish. Very nicely done. TheGrandMaster (1526), Auckland, New Zealand Nov 8, 2007 Draught at the brewpub, dark brown with a tan foamy head. Light roasted malt aroma. A very nice roasted malt palate with coffee flavour in abundance. Nicely done.
