brewrater (88), akron, Ohio, USA Nov 21, 2004 Average beer overall. Lighter in flavor than I prefer but maybe common to this style. Unfortunate end to an up and coming Akron area Brewery. Someday we may only have the Ugly 3 to drink so appreciate the crafts. TChrome (1248), Bedford, Texas, USA Nov 19, 2003 Interesting aroma. This is a new style for me, so I'm trying to keep and open mind. Aroma is buttery?, mildly sweet and floral. Appearance is light honey golden with egg white head that is presently retained. Flavor is popcorn buttery which is not incredibly pleasent. I'm thinking this beer might be a bit long in the tooth. BeerLimey (1875), California, USA Nov 17, 2003 Pale clouded amber color, moderate head formation. Clean malty aroma, hints of caramel. Light bodied with a sweet caramel flavor, very little bitterness in the finish. Not bad but I'm not sure why they'd want to call this a US Blonde. It's much more interesting. thedm (3405), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Oct 31, 2003 Thanks to Dogbrick for this sample. This brew poured a small head of fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that left behind a very hazy straw yellow colored softly carbonated body and a fair lacing. THe aroma is a typical mild malt hop one and the mouthfeel is thin crisp and bubble. The flavor is also that of malt hops and something else I could not put my finger on. Its not a bad beer, but it is different although somewhat subdued. hotstuff (3015), Indiana, USA Oct 28, 2003 Nothing really special about this beer...just kind of average. It poured a very small sized white head with fine-small bubbles that completely dissipated. The body was cloudy with lively carbonation and a pale yellow hue. The nose was that of citrus, sweet and fruity with a bit of a hop and spicy flavor to it. The mouthfeel was smooth with a watery-thin texture and it was light bodied. There was no lacing with this beer.
