2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 brewrater (92) - akron, Ohio, USA - NOV 21, 2004
Average beer overall. Lighter in flavor than I prefer but maybe common to this style. Unfortunate end to an up and coming Akron area Brewery. Someday we may only have the Ugly 3 to drink so appreciate the crafts.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 TChrome (1328) - Bedford, Texas, USA - NOV 19, 2003
Interesting aroma. This is a new style for me, so I'm trying to keep and open mind. Aroma is buttery?, mildly sweet and floral. Appearance is light honey golden with egg white head that is presently retained. Flavor is popcorn buttery which is not incredibly pleasent. I'm thinking this beer might be a bit long in the tooth.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 BeerLimey (2135) - California, USA - NOV 17, 2003
Pale clouded amber color, moderate head formation. Clean malty aroma, hints of caramel. Light bodied with a sweet caramel flavor, very little bitterness in the finish. Not bad but I'm not sure why they'd want to call this a US Blonde. It's much more interesting.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 thedm (4124) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - OCT 31, 2003
Thanks to Dogbrick for this sample. This brew poured a small head of fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that left behind a very hazy straw yellow colored softly carbonated body and a fair lacing. THe aroma is a typical mild malt hop one and the mouthfeel is thin crisp and bubble. The flavor is also that of malt hops and something else I could not put my finger on. Its not a bad beer, but it is different although somewhat subdued.
2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 hotstuff (3249) - Indiana, USA - OCT 28, 2003
Nothing really special about this beer...just kind of average. It poured a very small sized white head with fine-small bubbles that completely dissipated. The body was cloudy with lively carbonation and a pale yellow hue. The nose was that of citrus, sweet and fruity with a bit of a hop and spicy flavor to it. The mouthfeel was smooth with a watery-thin texture and it was light bodied. There was no lacing with this beer.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 BierBauch (784) - Cape Coral Waterfront Wonderland, Florida, USA - OCT 3, 2003
Hazy light gold colored with a snow white head that sinks like the titanic. Has a wheat like aroma similar to a wit with a hint of citrus but a bit stale. Medium body and nice mouthfeel. Flavor is like a pale and I can't help but be reminded of Magic hat #9. Very similar. Slight metallic finish. Nothing great but not too bad.

An OK beer, defintely not a favorite, but I would drink it again. I've had better, but wouldn't hesitate to drink this if it was available.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 sethdude (653) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JUN 19, 2003
Pours a hazy golden color, head lasting less than a minute, was thin and almost completely clear, almost no lacing whatsoever. Smells light and a bit fruity. Flavor is definitely sweet and fruity on the start, nice and malty in the middle, with an ever so weak finish. A very drinkable Kölsch, which is the entire purpose of the style. Thanks to Dogbrick for this one.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 CaptainCougar (6834) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - MAY 6, 2003
This is a smooth and mellow beer. You might even say somewhat bland and perhaps past its prime. It has no distinguishing characteristics, but is easily drinkable. A great session beer.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Schroppfy (2328) - Łódż, Warsaw, Poland; Michigan, Ohio, USA - APR 8, 2003
Actually a very good Kolsch, but variable. Two samples have yielded one quite Noble hoppy, with tons of grassy maltiness (slivhtly sweet) -- the other sample was quite sweet without the hoppiness (more like the kolschs I've had) - both were good, and wonderfully unfiltered gems. This rating is for the less sweet sample. Too damn bad this brewery is gone!!!!
