CaptainCougar (4687), Rockville, Maryland, USA May 6, 2003 This is a smooth and mellow beer. You might even say somewhat bland and perhaps past its prime. It has no distinguishing characteristics, but is easily drinkable. A great session beer. thedm (3407), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Oct 31, 2003 Thanks to Dogbrick for this sample. This brew poured a small head of fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that left behind a very hazy straw yellow colored softly carbonated body and a fair lacing. THe aroma is a typical mild malt hop one and the mouthfeel is thin crisp and bubble. The flavor is also that of malt hops and something else I could not put my finger on. Its not a bad beer, but it is different although somewhat subdued. hotstuff (3050), Indiana, USA Oct 28, 2003 Nothing really special about this beer...just kind of average. It poured a very small sized white head with fine-small bubbles that completely dissipated. The body was cloudy with lively carbonation and a pale yellow hue. The nose was that of citrus, sweet and fruity with a bit of a hop and spicy flavor to it. The mouthfeel was smooth with a watery-thin texture and it was light bodied. There was no lacing with this beer. Drew (2377), Kent, Ohio, USA Mar 4, 2002 very nice - crisp, lightly hopped. a little thin at the end. a good thirst quencher. Dogbrick (2348), Columbus, Ohio, USA Sep 25, 2002 This beer wasn’t very pretty, but I guess looks aren’t everything. This is Akron’s attempt at a Koelsch. I liked Blimp City’s Macon Ale much more but this still wasn’t too bad. Light golden color with some carbonation. Thin white head. Somewhat floral aroma. Rather dry with hops seeping out pretty steadily from start to finish.
