COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Twice the malt and hops of our regular IPA, this monster is sure to satisfy the cravings of a true hophead. The bountiful hop aroma is the result of dryhopping with Simcoe hops, the grapefruitiest of them all. Hold on to your tastebuds Dorothy - you’re not in Kansas anymore!

On tap at the Blind Pig Brewery. A another very solid effort from Blind Pig. Nicely balanced and drinkable for an imp ipa, the only negative critique I can give to this one is that there was a light soapy quality to the hops in both aroma and flavor. On the pour, a nice, thick cloud-like head, decent retention, and a hazy golden orange appearance. A good, strong hoppy aroma here, with some heavier citrus fruits, tropical fruit, herbals, some caramel and cereal malts, with a bit of light earth as well. The body is strong and borderline boozy, though still nicely creamy for the most part. Not too sticky, but still quite bitter (as expected), which a big positive. Some might say this bitterness is slightly unbalanced, but to me, its really the way its supposed to be. Flavor notes of fruity citrus, herbals, and tropical fruits (in line with the aroma, just with slightly more estery fruit). Also, cereal grains, and light caramel in the background. Overall, good stuff. I’ll be keeping on the look out for more quality beer from this brewpub.

Will complete later, in the middle of drinking. It’s a really good beer!
