Faded amber color. Light aroma of grassy hops, maybe some chocolate. Fairly balanced, some hop character comes through towards the end.

On tap at the brewpub in August 2009. Reviewed from notes. Pours a moderately deep amber color with an off white head and a good number of lace rings. Nose brings slightly sweet and toasted bred and a bit of earthy hops. Taste and feel come together to present a somewhat dry beer with moderate sweetness comic from caramel and toast. Drinks fairly well and is one of the better beers that we had at this location. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 10-15-2010

Draft at the brewpub. Pours an amber body with a white head. Malty nutty body with a light chewy salty fruit tone. Nerds and willy wonka candy sweetness. Bit of a mess.

Taster on tap at the brewpub. Pour is clear caramel brown and ruby. Not much of an off-white head. Aroma of biscuit malt and hazelnuts. Taste is nicely sweet and nutty, good full flavor with a lighter drinkable palate. Some nice lingering roastiness in the finish. Nice amber.

On tap at the brew pub. Amber orange with a smallish white head. Smells like butter and raspberries. Tastes buttery sweet and fruity. Medium body. Average carbonation. Sweet finish. Dull.

Pours a clear copper with a ring of off-white bubbles clinging to the edge of the glass when it reached my table. The nose is caramel malt and faint fruity hops. Medium-bodied and grainy with a dry metallic finish. Roasted caramel malts with a fruity hop backing, concluding with a dry metallic note. I’m not sure if I’m just a glutton for punishment or I’m just hoping to find a diamond-in-the-rough, but almost all of the ambers that I’ve tried (with the exception of a few) finish off like I’m sucking on a penny. I just keep trying them, hoping the next one will be "the one" that helps me understand why so many brewers and brewpubs make this style.

On tap at the brewpub. The body was dark amber with a mostly white head. The aroma was soapy with some hints of oranges and toffee. The taste was caramel with some peanuts and hops. A decent amber, but typically boring.

This would be antoher one that you could drink alot, as a nice session beer. A lighter styled amber, with some lively fruit aromas, that lends itself to a really proper carbonation level, malt background is a little lighter than I would prefer, but still has some nice flavors, honey and caramel, with a bit of floral hoppiness.

OIn Tap: Has a good look to it. A ring of off white head around the outter edge, but little to no carbonation. Aroma of malts and some fruits that were rather meek. Not a whole lot going on, but what was going on was nice a nd plesent. The flavor, much like th aroma was a little weak, but what there was was good. A dry texture and some good, yet mild flavors.
