COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Gold Award Winner! 2012 World Beer Cup
This quaint looking beer is very strong! Consider yourself warned. Yes, this German style bock is golden and bright, not dark. Mai means May and well, Bock means goat, but that’s another story. May means Spring and after a long winter of drinking dark beers, Germans were ready for a bright golden beer to celebrate spring. And that’s where babies come from. ABV at some point from 6.3% to 7.5%.

On tap @ brewery. Smooth and dangerously easy to drink. Better fresh than when taken home in growler.

Pours a mostly translucent golden with a smaller bubbly white head. Aroma of Cheerios, fresh cut grass...aroma is light. Flavor of Cheerios, oats, light citrus. Realizing its hard to describe a maibock. All I know for sure is this one is well done.

Pours rich super clear golden color with little white head. Smells minimally of sweet grain. Traditional flavors of earthy musty grain with a simple bread like quality with just a touch of golden fruits. Clean crisp slightly dry aftertaste, very easy to drink and solid overall.

On tap at the brewpub in August 2009. Reviewed from notes. Pours a light yellow orange with a why’d head and little lacing. Nose brings a good deal of grain and also light fruit and some floral hops. Taste is grain and some floral and herbal hops, which bring a bit of bitterness. Light and creamy feel. Drinks pretty well overall. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 10-15-2010

GABF 09. Pours a clear bright copper light orange with a thin white lasting head- some lace. Aroma is sweet light caramel malts, bready big toasted decocted malts, vienna nutty sweetness, honey and floral light hops. Flavor is also dominated by big toasty sweet malts, bready doughy light hop balance and clean crisp and easy drinking. Well done.
