3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
(tap at brewpub) copper with small off white head. Citrus/tropical fruit aroma. Flavor is very hoppy - citrus and some tropical fruit. Good, but not balanced enough to be great.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice smooth beer, would not of thought of it as a red ale, nice finish, strong beer. Much too strong for friends of mine.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On draft at the brewpub. Aroma of mild fruit, toasty, lightly sweet red/amber malts, piney, fruity hop, earthiness, and some background notes of apple and pineapple. Clear red in color with a very slight head and thin lacing. Flavor profile is sweet, hoppy and fruity, with strong pine, lighter citrus (orange, pineapple), brown sugar, tropical fruit, and some faint peppery alcohol and hop spice towards the finish. Warming, well-carbonated mouthfeel, oily and full on the palate, very full-bodied as well. Huge Imperial Red/Barleywine style. Good stuff!
