theisti (1166), Leawood, Kansas, USA Sep 2, 2008 Taster on tap at the brewpub. Pour is a clear ruby golden. Not much of a white head. Aroma is some resin hops, a touch on pine underneath that. Taste is bitter resin pine, some sweet burnt caramel. Finish is a little mineral dirtiness. Decent IPA, very quaffable.
heemer77 (3827), Savannah, Missouri, USA Sep 23, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. The body was deep copper with an off white head. The aroma was grapefruit along with some bread and almonds. The taste was bitter grapefruit with some almonds. Unbalanced and for hopheads. Ok. unclemike (418), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA Apr 13, 2008 On tap at brewpub. Poured a darker red color.Left a somewhat nice lacing in the glass. Very mild tasting beer. Gregis (937), Shawnee, Kansas, USA Jan 19, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear orange with a thin, beige head that diminishes fairly quickly. On the nose are bright, fruity citrus and melon with a bit of caramel poking out from behind. The whole aroma strikes me as fairly subdued for an IPA, but it is nice. The palate is on the lighter-side of medium-bodied and slick with a lightly bitter finish. Sweet citric/fruity hops with a light caramel backing. This is a very easy drinker, but it’s lack of a solid, bitter hop punch made it taste more like an APA. It’s certainly worth trying, but I wasn’t left craving another. tjthresh (1348), Greenfield, Indiana, USA Jul 22, 2007 On tap at the brewpub
Poured red with some off white head. Lots of grapefruit, mango, and pine aromas and flavors. Medium, and quite refreshing body. Really hit the spot.
