3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask (gravity dispense) at the Pigs Ear Beer Festival, London on 6 December 2006. Reddish colour. Fruity crystal malt character with some treacle notes. Maybe a touch spicy. Decent enough but nothing really leapt out at me here.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hand pulled at the Anchor, Birmingham. My notes are sadly remiss here, but I have indicated that I found this Bitter to have a choccy aspect, which I apparently only enjoyed to the tune of a 3.3 overall score.
