Clear medium orange amber color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, fruity. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090731]

Clear amber color, small off-white head. Diacetylic, sticky nose. Light-body. Less diacetyl in the flavor, some in the aftertaste. Toffee, wort, hoppy notes. Light hoppy notes in the finish. This one was pretty lame.

This one pours a remarkably murky, very light brown. The aroma is quite toasty and a little bit biscuity. Light body, a bit acidic, and has a hollow chocolate malt character. This beer is a real miss.

@ The Lamb, Frome. Poured with a ton of sediment but the red-orange hue is nice. Too bad about the murkiness, it’s quite off-putting. Aroma is clear but shy. Bready malts and some fruit juice. Flavors start similarly with fruitness before taking a welcome turn towards a bread crust finish. Quite nice overall.

Cask (Kitty’s, Helsinki)
Rich nutty grainy and even dry barky hoppy aroma. Big for a 3.6% beer. Some spices and even ginger, Soft carbonation. Deep amber, small loose head. Unsurprisingly watery palate. Some fruity restronasal esters. Taste is a bit dishwatery. Finiah pleasantly bitter and a little barky and herby. Simple, but OK.

Cask @ Bow Bar, Edinburgh.
Pours clear amber with a fine, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has light rye, sweet malts and softly roasted. Low carbonation, okay frothy mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet malty, light rye, some milky chocolate. Only just enough hops.

Good Intent, Rochester. Dry orange fruit - kind of musty leather. Starts fine, but grows unpleasant.
