Cask conditioned at The Watrmill Inn, Ings, Cumbria. Gold colour with bubbly head. Nice fruity hoppy bitter, quite light in character but well balanced and easy drinking. Wouldn’t describe as an IPA, but I do get the aromatic hops. Pretty good.

Cask, Jersey Fest 06. Amber brown with a small head. Aromas are light toffee malts with earthy hops. Dry, floral and spicy. Flavours are biscuit and caramel malts with dry hops towards the finish. A simple but decent bitter.

Cask gravity at the South Devon Beer Festival, 21/09/2006. A clear amber colour with a very small head. A sweet aroma with citrus and caramel. A very well balanced taste: very hoppy with malt which adds depth. A roasted malt finish with moderate bitterness. This is pretty good.

Golden coloured slightly hazy and hoppy. Crisp malt finish which is creamy on the palate.

UPDATED: MAR 29, 2005 Sept, 2004. Bright bottled at Chappel. Mmmm. Delicate hops over a delicate toffee malt. Well balanced and surprisingly tasty. A great little session bitter. Good quality ingredients. Everything fresh. Nice. Yellowish lager appearance. [3.2]
March - Easter Monday, 2005: Market Porter. Piers, my son, is taking me to see Stalker at the National Film Theatre. It must be over ten years since I last saw this film - and I’ve never seen it in the cinema - so I’m quite excited. We’ve walked along the Thames from Tower Bridge stopping at several pubs along the way. We’ve now got to the Market Porter and all ten beers on offer I’ve had. But I enjoy this - clean, smooth and light with a touch of green apple and buble gum. Some sulphur in the nose. [3.0]
