3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask at the Moon in the Square, Bournemouth. Dark mahogany pour with a big off white frothy head. Slightly malty notes in the aroma and a wonderfully rich fruity malt flavour with a hint of bitterness that lingers on the palate for a while after swallowing. An excellent beer which deserves a better rating in my opinion!

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask (handpump) at the Market Porter on 1 March 2011. Mid brown colour. Not much aroma. Dryish, with some fruity malt - berry fruit up front - and a hint of bitterness. I was going to describe this as a quite soft, middle-of-the-road, fruity bitter but I see the commercial description calls it a mild, which I find a little surprising. Still middle-of-the-road whatever it is.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours ruby brown with small tanned head leaving lacing on the glass. Aroma is malty and bread with notes of sweet caramel. Flavor is slightly flat, acidy, berries, malts and hopps. Palate feel is acidy sour. Finishes first a bit fruity turning into shortlived bitter hoppy aftertaste.
