Wow this beer hugely exceeded my expectations. Pours brown with some robeytones and clarity. Aroma is smooth bourbon, vanilla, oak, cherries, tart dark fruits. Taste is medium sweetness and nice tartness without any vinegar bite.. Love it.

Dark brown with a haze. Nose is caramel, red grapes, bourbon, oak and tart cherry. Slick and oily, juicy with a sour bite. Taste is sour cherry, cinnamon and cranberry that almost becomes too sweet before the bourbon licks in.

Bottle... Murky caramel-colored ale with a small, creamy, khaki head. Excellent retention. The aroma offers and assortment earthy, malty and acidic notes - oak, caramel, cherry and lactic acidity. Full-bodied and creamy with laid-back carbonation. This is an intricate tapestry of bourbon warmth, oaken earthiness and funk, caramel maltiness and cherry tartness. Finishes bourbony in flavor, but not at all boozy or hot. Bottle courtesy of newcigarz!

Bottle. Smells like cheesy fruit; brown sugar; poop; starburst. Taste: vinous, smoke, leather ... Weird. Don’t know what to make of this really, but ... Okay. A lot going on. But hard to figure out what I should be drinking. I don’t like this for no reason except I don’t have a narrative to latch onto.

Bottle - Vinous, oak and the typical players. Rich beige head and cloudy brown. Very oaky, and all flavours mellow to a very nice beer.

750mL bottle, pours an opaque dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out complex bourbon barrels, light tartness, and dark fruits - quite exquisite. Flavour brings out loads of Pappy barrels, oak, some dark fruits, and moderate dark fruits. The Pappy barrels really stand out with an exquisite complexity, finishing on bourbon and sour notes. Very complex - the alcohol is noticeable but still drinkable. Stunning stuff.

Pours a murky brown with a small dirty head that leaves minimal lacing. Aroma of bourbon, wood and red fruits. Taste is vinous, sour and acidic. More fruits (currants?), more bourbon, some vanilla and various spices. Not much of an acetic character (I don’t usually complain about that but I believe a red/brown still needs a little vinegar). Medium carbonation. Good and fun but a bit linear to me.

pours unclear light brown-reddish with a small light beige cap, little retention, some lacing. nuts, plums, spices, chocolate, bourbon, raisins, acetic, booze. nice woodsy notes. moderate carbonation, light to medium body - oily, earthy-grassy-peppery finish. much enjoyed that stuff!
