Baltic style porter, 66% matured nine months in Caribbean rum barrels and then conditioned on house toasted organic coconut flakes. Bon Voyage pours a ruby black with notes of cocoa, can sugar, rum, and coconut with a medium bodied smooth finish.

Tap @ The BeerMongers 4th Annual Christmas Eve Eve Barrel Aged Beer Fest... Poured jet black with a retaining, lacy beige head. Good coconut and rum notes. Reminded me of a rum soaked cake with the grain-like malt characters. Some roast and char with booze and heat towards the finish that was cut by some acid and more coconut. Lingering hear too.

Not a porter fan but man this is yummy, rich & complex. Hard to get through the layers, particularly in the aroma where i get bitter chocolate, resin, rye & brown sugar. In flavor there’s the coconut, rum, milk chocolate & molasses. Darker brown head & good mouth feel.

On tap at the 2013 Cellar Stash event. Pours a dark black color with a medium tan head. A big somewhat boozy nose with rum and big coconut. Great flavors of sweet sugar, rum, some heat, roasted malt, some tropical flavors. Excellent. Slick palate.
