Lots of chocolate. Like candy bar chocolate, cocoa, dark chocolate, some roast and earthy notes accompany but play the backround. Dark brown, beige head. The flavor is full of chocolate - sweet, but balanced by some bitterness and roast. A really nice showcase of chocolate flavor without going over board. Was going to get a growler, but they sold out.

Tap @ Bailey’s Taproom... Poured near black with a yam head. Nose had milk chocolate, chocolate syrup, and powdered sugar. Dry, sticky mouthfeel. Little bit of roast, but lots of chocolate flavors all the way through. Really smooth and yummy. Even some mild hop tones in there. What a complex drinking beer for 5.5%.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at the brewery. After trying a few of their beers and liking all of them I was pretty excited to try this, unfortunately this didn’t do much for me. Tasted like they just added a bunch of vanilla to a porter, too sweet. Pours dark brown with a smooth tan head. Aroma and flavor dominated by sweetness, sticky chocolate and vanilla, more like a sweet after dinner beer, not a pinter for me.
