COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The first of our three part Saison series. Saison’s were traditionally brewed on farms in the French speaking region of Belgium for their workers. Ferme de La Ville or “City Farm 15” is brewed with Belgian Pilsner, malted wheat, and locally gathered honey. French Farmhouse yeast brings aromas of spice and earth. The body is light with complex flavors and a dry refreshing finish. 6.75%alc/vol 25 IBU’s

Bottle tasting at Craft Clerkenwell. Thanks to Aaron. Hazy gold beer, little pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and airy and a little crisp. Light floralness with a very mild sour tang. Whisper of lemony citrus. Little dried fruits. Finishes light. Pleasant enough!

Pours a cloudy golden color with a big/huge white head on it. A nice fruity saison with plenty of spice and earth notes to it as well. Some lemon zest and perhaps some green apple and other citrus. Slight sweetness of bread/cracker malts, too. The flavor is a touch sweet, but still decently dry from the Brett. Again, some fruity tones to go along with the earthy and floral character.

Bottle shared at CBC Clerkenwell in London - big thanks to Aaron. Pours hazy yellow-gold with a creamy white head. The nose has light bretty funk, some subtle rindy citrus, lemon. Light sweet flavor with modest dryness, good brett funk, more dry citrus rind bitterness. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Pretty clean to finish, lightly drying, with basement brett character and dry citrus fruits. Nice.

A hazed amber ale with a thick lacing light moka head. In aroma, nice Brett, barnyard, sour cherries, epsom salts. In mouth, a nice lactic offering with light buttery notes, cherries, a bit of harshness, not bad. On tap at OBF Fringe Fest Belmont Station, July 30 2011.

Bottle... Hazy golden ale with a minimal, fizzy, white head. The bouquet is woody, acidic and lightly funky. Light-bodied and astringent with stinging carbonation. The flavor is slightly tart and lemony, followed by a tangy, raspy, bone-dry finish. Bottle courtesy of landhoney!

Bottle @ What the Funk Denver 2014. Golden appearance with a white head. Unfortunately, there was a bunch of diacetyl in the nose. Some citrus / lemon notes, but hard to get past the butter. The flavor was also messed up by the buttery notes. Some vanilla, lemon, and honey. Too bad this one wasn’t in its best shape.

750mL thanks to brainlair. Pours a clear lighter orange. Fizzy, larger, big bubbled head. Spotty lace. Better appearance on second pour. Still a bit over carbonated. Nose is orange peel, lemon, orange marmalade, sweet orange candy drops, sweet cream butter, mild Brett and cedar. Taste is minerally, spicy, sharp carbonation, more sweet cream butter, fresh biscuit, orange marmalade, small margarine but no diacetyl. Palate is moderately tart and tangy. Thick biscuit and bread. Really nice. Refreshing. No flaws. As it warms, more lactic acid comes through in the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
