Our holiday offering brewed with English pale and specialty malts and molasses. Matured in freshly emptied brandy barrels and conditioned with mission figs. Gently spiced with the world’s finest Ceylon cinnamon and whole nutmeg. ‘Now, bring us some figgy pudding!’ the carolers demand. We are pretty sure this ale is what they mean though you will will want to keep some for yourself. Total bottle count for 2010 = 768.

2011 vintage Dark reddidsh copper color with a light tan head. Nose is cinnamon, dark fruits, nuts, bread, caramel and slight amounts of brandy. Slightly muted at first but grew as it warmed. Taste is a little more bread l with slight spices, cinnamon, dark fruits and splashes of brandy. Well balanced but quite soft. Medium feel, light carbonation. Not as coating as thought it could or should be for the style. Still nice though

Bottle from a trade. Many thanks ruddick! Dark brown/black colour, brown foam. Sweet fruity (notes of berries, figs and plums), spicy (cinamon, cloves) and chocolaty sweetness. Strange beer but not bad.

Draft 10 oz pour at Belmont Station. Decided to accidentally celebrate the two year anniversary of my first beer rating with a very beer busy evening in Portland. Rating from the notes. Christmas dessert, pours a near black with a foam ring head. Candy sweet aroma with some cinnamin. High carb, with some chocolate notes. Some vanilla, maybe hints of bourbon. Nice toastyness to it. Pretty good.
