On draught at 6th Anniversary Party for Saraveza. 2011 vintage. Deep black color. Aroma is vanilla, caramel, and chocolate with bourbon. Taste is similar, but caramel is added to the wonderful notes. Amazing.

Bottle sample at Muckfest V on 7/12/14. Darkest brown in color with a medium tan head. Aroma of bourbon, chocolate and toffee. Malty and chocolatey flavor with a boozy finish.

12oz bottle. Thanks to Todd for sending our way... Pours a dark cola-ey pour, thin with reddish edges and not all that much of head while topped with a minimal film of head... Aroma of ash papery malt forward bomb. Aged for the most part with tootsie roll and nutty chocolate malt notes... Flavors are more of the same. Sweeter with tootsie roll chocolate notes. Somewhat flimsy body but nicer after warming. Not that deserving of the higher ratings but still nice regardless..

Bottle, thanks Kan! Pours black no head. Aroma is smokey, ash, metallic. Flavors sharp barrel notes, ashy cigar character, sweet plums. Really thinned out.

355mL shared with GT2. Clear, deep brown pour. Weaker head, no thick foam. Nose is hazelnut oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. Taste is maple syrup and cinnamon. Palate is sweeter, not cloying/sticky. Overall was really nice for a dessert beer. I really liked this one!

GT2 (8682) - San Diego County, California, USA - FEB 1, 2013
355mL 2011 ed thanks to writerljberg. Pours deep sepia, clear, bubbles, no head formation. Nose is heavy bourbon barrel, woody, rich coconut, macadamia, buttered french toast, hazelnut ganache, yellow rum cake. Woah. Sharp impending alcohol like Baileys or Kalhua liquor. Slight Phenols detract. Taste is hazelnut cookie, oatmeal, praline, thick buttery baked goods. Very dessert heavy, no balancing bitterness, but in a 6oz sample it is quite enjoyable. Palate is a bit powdery, dry, chalky. But not cloying.
