100% aged in fresh emptied bourbon barrels. Brewed with six malts of Belgian & British origin. Bourbon in color with a very complex and interesting malt profile. Bright aromas of bourbon, fresh baked bread, caramel, and oak. Velvety texture, rich malt and bourbon flavors with an enticingly warm bourbon finish. 10% alc/vol 40 IBU’s

Draft at Saraveza, Portland. 2010 vintage. Pours a medium reddish brown, slight tan head. Served a bit cold, warming the beer would improve aroma. Figs, booze, candi sugar. Body lively, finish sweet, woody and surprisingly not very hot. Age has treated this well, glad to have it on tap.

Bottle shared by Ryan, thanks! Poured a golden, almost dark yellow color with notes of toffee, malts. Booze is a touch noticeable as is the bourbon and oak notes. Flavorful. Tasty. Not bad at all!

750mL thanks to brainlair and ryan. Pours clear, dark maroon. Scant head and spotty lacing. Nose is tomato paste, thicker American bourbon, red apple, fumey brandy. As it warms, excellent coconut bourbon finally comes through. Taste is fairly hop/malt neutral, some lemon acid, dark cereal grain, dusty cocoa. Palate a bit weak sauce, some lemon.

22oz bottle shared by Ryan: pours a clear dark mahogany with a spotty-lacing off-white head. Has a rich dark caramel and sweet bourbon oaky nose with some vanilla complexity. Starts with good fullness and sweet toasted dark caramel and chocolate malts with lots of vanilla and bourbon character before a drier bittersweet slightly warming finish. True to style and enjoyable.

Bottle @ ZeeBra Extreme Beer Festival 2013. Amber copper reddish pour. Aroma of bourbon, leathery, fruity, slightly funky, spicy. Flavor is bourbon, sweet spicy bitter. A bit thin, funky and strange.

Bottle @ ZeeBra. Aroma has some red fruits, roast, liquorice and a light yeasty note. Flavour is slightly tart of red fruits with some bourbon and bread. Slight infection? Still a great beer though.
