From bottle purchased at Block 15’s 5th Anniversary. Cloudy golden color. Citrus hop on the nose, very intense. Citrus, honey, grass notes and sticky sweet (appropriate). Dry, non bitter finish.

Bottle and draft, 16 Tons, Eugene. Pours slightly cloudy deep golden straw color. Moderate amount of head. Aroma isn’t super pungent, kind of a gentle grapefruit thing going on. I guess I can see the tropical a little bit but generally not so much. Medium body, warming well-hidden, finish is definitely bitter, akin to lemon zest. I like it but I’m not blown away.

750 ml bottle from The BeerMongers. Hazy orange, with a fluffy head, at first,k but now, a wispy head. Redolent of citrus and pine cones. Very pungent, and delicious smelling. This has a very fresh hop aroma. Crisp, and yet creamy texture, relatively speaking. This has a lovely citrus and pine lingering bitterness. There are spicy hop flavor is there, too. The lingering bitterness isn’t caustic, but complimentary and develops well. The malt kicks in and offers a bit of sweetness. This is pretty damn good. Delicious beer.

Bottle @ The BeerMongers... A golden, pale yellow pour with a moderate, fizzy white head. Nose had dense hop resins and earthy hop spices. A citrus a tropical fruits dominate. This was a beast of an IIPA acting like is was much stronger and complex than the 8.5 lent it to be. I enjoyed every bit of this and easily the best hop experience I have had from B15.

750ml capped bottle from 5th anniversary release, bottled 2/28/13. Hazed copper golden with sticky off white head. Dank, honey, citrus, tropical. Dry crisp malt, balanced rounded hops, good sweet yet bitter hop finish. Great use and blend of hops.

Nose of citrus tropical fruit and danky notes. Pale malt, touch of biscuit. Mostly hops, soft malt. Pours golden orange, nice creamy head. Pale malts, citra for sure, dank notes, tropical fruit, medium lingering bitterness, soft biscuit. Super drinkability no hint of 8.5%. Really a well done beer.
