3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 bhensonb (7143) - Woodland, California, USA - APR 17, 2010
Bottle. Another gushy DeProef ale. Pours a light hazy amber with a large foamy off-white, clingy head. Aromas of cooked fruit and spice. Near medium body with mild and spritely carbonation. It is more sweet than not, but there’s enough bitter to help. Still, it is finishing sweet. Some floral/veg aspects, but there’s enough bitter to help that too. Still, sweet conquers ale. Nice, but not for frequent consumption - unless you are into sugar. If you like Lindeman’s stuff, you’ll likely like this.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 imike (31) - , ITALY - APR 11, 2010
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Abio (1058) - Waasland, BELGIUM - MAR 20, 2010
UPDATED: MAY 15, 2011 Bottle, thanks to Jeffery. Tasted at his home. This one was way better then I expected. Got story’s like ’a beer with flowers", and I allready was expecting something that was not my kind of beer, maybe even hard to call it a beer. But when I got this beer into a glass, it started pretty good. The colour was golden, a bit orange, a big white head, that holds for a good time. Aroma’s that came out of the glass, surprised me in a good way. Fruit, a bit earthy-sour, I even think to smell a very little of the flowers, and spices. Soft, fruity, lightly sweet, but nothing overdone, good balanced, but maybe just a bit to watery taste. Citrus and spices, apple, good taste.A surprise for me.
