Zinister (855), Houston, Texas, USA Jun 23, 2008 Thanks to my wife for bringing this beer back from Belgium. Pours an apricot gold color with a 1/2 finger creamy head. Nose of sweet floral aromas, fruits, spices, hops and grains. Flavor is wonderfully sweet malts with flowers, ginger, bready malts, raisins and quite a bit of candy sugar...a lot going on. Real rich and creamy with a sweet lingering finish. Becomes almost like a really sweet tea as you drink it.
cphbeerking (152), København K, Denmark Aug 6, 2008 Flower honey and subtly overripe fruit in the nose draws the curtains on this little ladies’ gem. Great to look at with an attractive, slighly cloudy orange sheen, and a pretty foam head. Good lacing. Supremely sweet in the finish, but unlike most rarified Belgians this one is singularly monotonous and smacks of disgusting white sugar. One for the novice lady drinker, perhaps? BoBoChamp (618), Gent, Belgium Aug 4, 2008 33cl, brew with flowers, from Geers Oostakker, complex, yet heavy brew, not balanced, cloudy, good head, nice brew KimJohansen (3026), Copenhagen V, Denmark Jun 23, 2008 Clear amber with medium beige head. Sweet aroma with fruity, floral and yeasty notes. Sweet fruity flavor with yeast, caramel and peachy notes. Grovlam (2984), Copenhagen, Denmark Jun 17, 2008 Bottle. Huge beige creamy head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Clear sparkling golden – amber color that turns cloudy at the end. Aroma of sweet floral, yeast, fruit, mild citrus, somewhat grainy and caramel and light alcoholic. Over the palate came notes of strong sweet flower, what could appear as raisins or prunes and some sugar like notes as well. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and mild alcoholic texture. Heavy sweet flavor with light acidic to be detected. Sugary floral sweet and light warming alcoholic finish.
