Brewed for the commercial union (Unizo) of Nazareth town. A lighter version of the Tripel, brewed with water, barley malt, yeast and hops.

330 ml. bottle sampled. Clear sparkling golden, fizzying away paper-white industrial head. Nose is odd very sweet honey, artificial vanilla, chemical, odd lactic, plastic, vegetables, weird sickly chemical sweetness between milk & candy with chemical vanilla, odd but not in a good way. Taste is chemical, sweet, industrial, milk, candy, chemical vanilla, very weird heavy sweetness, citrus, mineral,… Artificial body, faint near grain alcohol. Bizarre, I get the potential appeal but not really for me, bizarre.

Bottle. Hazy golden colour, creamy beige foam. Medium carbonation. Fruity with hints of peach and citrus. Bitter finish. Well balanced. Good tripel.

Bottle Pours clear blonde, good white head . Smell is yeasty , cooked vegetables . Very hidden , slightly bitter aspect ( still, more bitterness that reminds of vegetables than hops ) . Taste is sweet, than the vegetal aspect, but just stops when it is on the border of to much , to be replaced with a rather yeasty maltsweetness, slightly bitter aspect, with a soft hoppy ending.

Alengrin (3686) - BELGIUM - AUG 2, 2014
Commissioned beer since 2010 with rocky, thick, off-white head and ’old gold’ colour, misty. Aroma of iron, green apple, honey, soap, vanilla and cider. Taste fairly neutral at first, light apply fruitiness, metallic, finishing mildly grassy hoppy, not really bitter. Bit dull compared with Sint-Canarus Tripel.

(Bottled, BBE 03/2013) Opaque yellow with a medium, firm and lacy head. Spicy citrus nose with pale malt, herby pilsener hops and a touch of cardboard. Flavor is pale-malty, coriander-spicy, quite lemony with a dry, bitter-herby finish. Medium to full body, soft CO2. A quite pilsener-like Belgian ale, but reasonably refreshing and OK. 3546
