Celebrate Bloomington Bikes Month and Bike-to-the-Brewpub Month with a very special beer release: 10-Speed Hoppy Wheat.

Slightly hazy and golden-hued, 10-Speed packs piney aromas, subtle tropical fruit nuances and a nice crisp finish. This American-style wheat offers a nice hop punch yet is still light and refreshing enough for a warm summer day.

At 5.5 one of the better session beers out there. Nice citrus hop aroma. Bitterness builds but more a grapefruit bitterness. Very well done. Nice beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Minimal sweet lemon aroma with thin head and light lacing. Gorgeous cloudy orange pour with an almost unnatural glow. Not much flavor on the front of the tongue but blooms into a good hoppy punch. Finishes clean with a little bit of lingering bitterness. As usual for a BBC beer, thick mouth feel for an enjoyable entry.

Sampled at the Brewpub. It poured a hazy golden color with a small white head. The aroma was of sweet wheat and malts with some hints of citrus. The taste was also sweet wheat malts with a grainy flavor and some hints of citrus. Very nice.

On tap. It has a distinct hoppy bite and sour that lingers. Not overpowering, though--very drinkable. Mild carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This was one of several samples I tried just down the road from the brewpub at Yogi’s. A shockingly solid wheat ale might be one of the best that they have put out. I would almost go back for a growler if not for a huge backlog that would see it fade into a shadow. If all their beers were this good I definitely could have accrued more ticks.

Aroma / Appearance - A cloudy coppery base sits idly in the glass with a thin wisp of white head. Grass, citrus, and mango are fresh and crisp. This could almost be mistaken for an IPA based on the profile.

Flavor / Palate - Fresh citrus, mango, and tangerines tickle the tongue. This is like fruit salad in a glass. Easy to drink from start to finish this is the best release from BBC since I moved to the area. If it stays on draft I might have to order it one more time before it kicks.
