StoneFree IPA shares characteristics of an American-style India Pale Ale with its deep golden hue followed by teasing aromas of citrus and grass. East Kent Golding, Nugget and Cascade hops find a delicate balance with Special Pale and Munich malt, resulting in a silky soft mouth feel. StoneFree finishes with smooth, lingering hop flavor.

UPDATED: FEB 4, 2011 Draught at Lennie’s/BBC. Hazy golden pour. Sweet malty nose with fruity and piny tones. Taste is strongly bitter with great overtones of delicious bread and dough. Grass with resin and a touch of alcohol, surprised at the balance between hops and malt here (which I suppose could be a mark off for style - very little citrus, and the hop component is pulled down instead of the malts being pulled up). Rich golden malt, almost British in character at times, but has sticky Munich bulging out of the sides. Medium body is indeed sticky with a little added texture. Not at all what I expected, but tasty enough.
