COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship High Country is a deep, golden ale brewed with American 2-Row and Munich style malts. Cascade and Centennial are used in the finish and dry hopping. This is our best selling and most versatile ale due to its balance between a floral citrus hop profile and well-integrated hop bitterness. Clean. Crisp. Refreshing.

Poured okay, a sort of glowing honey-orange with a white foam cap. Smelled okay, with some sugary notes and a little malt. Tasted...okay, but all the while I had it in my head that this was some kind of marzen/alt/amber/something...then I saw the claim of pale ale and if that’s the style we’re going for here, I have to dock the overall execution. Nearly no hop bitterness, flavor, or aroma.

12 oz bottle. Pale ale my ass. This tastes like a lager. If you like Budweiser you may enjoy this. Otherwise nothing to report here.

I’m getting a nice balance beer with great malt and hops but also a touch of nuts and maple syrup flavor. highly carbonating, tasty.

Bottle at John’s tasting. Pours gold. White head. Nose/taste of apple, pear, sweet malt and pale malt. Soft carbonation. Juicy. Light bodied. Odd.

Pots copper/amber with an inch off-white head. Slightly fruity nose, with some pine notes - a little dough. Light to medium body, good carbonation. Thin w/ some hops in the finish. Nothing extraordinary, but a decent beer with a burger.

Draft @ Hickory Hops 2011, Hickory, NC. Pours a hazy golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty grainy grassy hoppy citrus aroma. Fruity malty hoppy citrus flavor with hints of caramel. Has a sweetish malty caramel finish with hoppy hints.

A: Amber and golden with thin beige head. S: BMC lager. No hops, nothing to get excited about. T: BMC lager. If this is an APA, where is the hoppiness? M: Thin, slightly watery. Nicely carbonated. O: I know why this is called "Blowing"...it blows.

Slightly hazy gold, thin white head. Nose is grassy hops, caramel, a bit of mineral character, honey sweetness. Flavor is toffee & very light raisin malt, a bit of herbal hop bite. Some nice bitterness comes out in the finish but it is sweeter than I would like. Its a nice enough beer though - just not extremely interesting.

A very good everyday pale ale featuring a malty caramel profile and earthier noble hops. Definitely east coast. Pours a clear amber with a one-finger white head. Light lacing. Nose is fruity with berry notes and caramel malt. Flavor is much the same. Very balanced. Long semi-sweet finish with a slight whack of hop bitterness. this beer would work with most American-style cuisine. Well done.
