Our flagship High Country is a deep, golden ale brewed with American 2-Row and Munich style malts. Cascade and Centennial are used in the finish and dry hopping. This is our best selling and most versatile ale due to its balance between a floral citrus hop profile and well-integrated hop bitterness. Clean. Crisp. Refreshing.

Bottle. Pours a clear light orange color. Light ring of white head. Aroma is grainy, and butter with a bit of alcohol. Flavor is dry malts, slight sweet bread and grainy malts on the finish. Pretty standard.

A nice clear copper body with a thin white head. Head seemed to have good retention and some mild lace. Aroma had a big caramel malt presence upfront with some brown sugar notes. There was a slight spice note to it. Some floral hops in the back. Overall aroma was sweet, but with just the right amount of sweetness. Flavor had big malts as well mostly caramel but the brown sugar element was a little more prevalent. Some floral hops to balance it out and there was that spice element from the aroma almost like nutmeg. Finish was smooth and light. A good beer that was a little more malt based than hops.

Poured okay, a sort of glowing honey-orange with a white foam cap. Smelled okay, with some sugary notes and a little malt. Tasted...okay, but all the while I had it in my head that this was some kind of marzen/alt/amber/something...then I saw the claim of pale ale and if that’s the style we’re going for here, I have to dock the overall execution. Nearly no hop bitterness, flavor, or aroma.

12 oz bottle. Pale ale my ass. This tastes like a lager. If you like Budweiser you may enjoy this. Otherwise nothing to report here.

Bottle at John’s tasting. Pours gold. White head. Nose/taste of apple, pear, sweet malt and pale malt. Soft carbonation. Juicy. Light bodied. Odd.

Pots copper/amber with an inch off-white head. Slightly fruity nose, with some pine notes - a little dough. Light to medium body, good carbonation. Thin w/ some hops in the finish. Nothing extraordinary, but a decent beer with a burger.
