COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship High Country is a deep, golden ale brewed with American 2-Row and Munich style malts. Cascade and Centennial are used in the finish and dry hopping. This is our best selling and most versatile ale due to its balance between a floral citrus hop profile and well-integrated hop bitterness. Clean. Crisp. Refreshing.

Thanks to ericandersnavy for sharing this bottle. The beer pours yellow with a white head. The aroma is almost impossible to detect but there is some wheat and lighter malts in there. The flavor is wheat malt with some citrus, but it is also a little faint. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. Pours with a small fading white head over a clear golden body. Aroma is grassy, grainy and bland. Perhaps some rotten meat. Taste is sweet, cloying with pear. Really a mess. Light bubbled drain pour.

Not bad, just really weak. Light hops are in the background of the mild caramel malt flavor. Watery finish. Balanced and drinkable.

Really not as bad as the ratings suggest, IMO. Yeah itís sweet, but itís a decent round malty sweetness with some flavor in there, so itís not horrible. Worth a try, at least.

A very sweet ale. There is some good malt to it, a bit of citrus hops, bis but overall itís a cloying sweetness here. I wouldnít seek this one out really.

On draught at the High Country Beer Fest, it pours a copper-amber into the glass, with a nice eggshell head. The nose has some citrus, roasts and floral notes. The flavors are of roasted caramel malt, some muddy citrus, and dry-hopping to close the finish. The texture is mild, with crisp carbonation levels and a medium body. Average APA... it wonít set the world on fire, and I donít know if Iíd really seek it out again.

marcus (7682) - Sacramento, California, USA - SEP 2, 2009
This copper ale poured with a decent off-white head and a fruity aroma. There is a hearty roasted malt flavor with a bit of carbonation and hop bitterness. A mediocre pale ale, but itís drinkable.
