3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear medium amber. Normal head volume, lacing and retention.
Very light nose of biscuit and hops.
Light body with a texture that has smooth moments. Below normal carbonation with just a bit of effervescence in the finish.
The flavor profile is good, in a lawn mower or session sense, albeit not very complex. You get a modest hop flavor accompanied with a modest pine/rind bitterness over a modest biscuit sweetness with a hint of caramel. The finish lingers with a rind note.

Pours clear copper with a small white head. Smells lightly of caramel and soft pleasant hoppiness. Taste is sweet, caramelly maltiness and slight earthy bitterness. Medium-bodied with a slick texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Blowing Rock High Country Ale finishes with a lingering sweetness.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
This beer is a light copper brew with a firm head of white bubbles. Nose is mild pine needle hops and maybe a bit of metallic aspect. The taste is slightly sweet with a bit of hops at the first taste, but then broadening to a cloying sweetness in the middle. finishing to a bit of a metallic bitter aftertaste. Body is lively.

Bottle from Carolina Ale House. Banana colored. Good head and decent retention. Hoppy aroma, notes of pepper. Complex, less bitter than expected. Nice balance of sweetness. Drinkable.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from 12 ounce bottle from Beer Of The (Every Other) Month Club. Cloudy orange/yellow color, firm bittersweet aroma with prominent citrus features, small white head, moderate bittersweet flavor--not bad at all, could see this as a session brew
