COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
India Pale Ale brewed with natural green tea.
An intense infusion of fresh Chinook, Cascade, and Centennial hops combined with natural green tea imparts this traditional English-style Pale Ale (English IPA) with something a little beyond the ordinary... A little extraordinary! A beer that transcends beyond anything you have ever experienced before, the smooth and subtle green tea aroma and taste perfectly compliment the refreshing crispness of an English IPA. The result will satisfy those who are looking for something more mystical... magical... wonderful. Created for the IPA lover interested in more than just substantial hops character. BluCreek Zen IPA... Enjoy the difference!

Cloudy with a lot of suspended yeast. Very unusual for an IPA. Difficult to find aroma of yeast with even more difficult to find IPA aromas. Flavors are unique with the green tea adding distinct dry bitterness that differs from that of the hop. There is orange and lemon aid. This is a dry beer. Very little carbonation. Seemed to numb the tongue like before dental work. A very different kind of beer. Fun to sample.

12 oz bottle: Pours like a cloudy iced tea with a thin white cap that lets you know this indeed beer. The hops are soft in the nose, adding a citrusy zip to the heavy tea notes. The body is thick with little carbonation. The tea takes over everythings else, letting a touch of sweet caramel and orangey hops come through. The bitterness is too low for the style, making this more of a sweet tea than anything else. I commend the brewer for trying something new. It is interesting, but not something I would drink often.

A unique brew to say the least, Green tea was wierd at first. Pours a bright clear copperish colour, medium sized beige head. Aroma is of green tea (duh) lemon and soft piney hops. Flavor is noticeable of green tea as well, with a little spice and subtle hop finish.

I liked this for all the reasons most people hated it: sweet notes lift a gentle citrus (orange) across my tastebuds, with a gentle mint flavor wafting through. Low sensation of hops (the best way for an IPA to be!) and a gentle fruit juice and flowers color. There are some unattractive elements to it, to be sure, including a bit of metal in the finish and a curious palate like a 7-Up and Orange Juice punch for a kids’ party, but at least it has some lambic qualities out of it.

12 oz bottle - Poured a hazy straw colot with no head. Aroma is lemony with no real hop aroma unlike most IPA’s. Taste is very dry and soapy. Tea and beer do not mix in my opinion. DRAIN POUR!!!!

i’ve been wanting to brew an ipa with green tea so i was excited to try this, I think i’ll do a better job though... way over carbonated, dingy dishwater yellow body, sweet yeast nose, extremely mild hops, barely even there, can’t detect any sort of green tea flavor, or any real tannins to speak of, more of a pale ale, off finish, sort of metallic, not very good at all

12 oz bottle from moejuck as part of a passle of midwest IPA’s! Pours cloudy, murky amber-tan, sort of the color of my mom’s Gravenstein applesauce. Aroma reveals a bit of toasty malts and mild summer fruit, bit of clover, floral hops, wet cardboard and green tea bitterness. Flavor is just weird, malts that are either oxidized or overrun by the dominant green tea character, more wet cardboard, grassy and piney hop notes, making an overall astringent and tannic taste. Medium body and crispy carbonation. This IPA infused with green tea probably sounded like a good idea at the time of conception, but in execution it seems to me to be an oddly contrived and rather unpleasant brew.

Aroma of mild cirus and green tea. Color is a murky amber, very cloudy with minimal head. Flavor leans more toward the green tea than the IPA. Very thin.
