COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
India Pale Ale brewed with natural green tea.
An intense infusion of fresh Chinook, Cascade, and Centennial hops combined with natural green tea imparts this traditional English-style Pale Ale (English IPA) with something a little beyond the ordinary... A little extraordinary! A beer that transcends beyond anything you have ever experienced before, the smooth and subtle green tea aroma and taste perfectly compliment the refreshing crispness of an English IPA. The result will satisfy those who are looking for something more mystical... magical... wonderful. Created for the IPA lover interested in more than just substantial hops character. BluCreek Zen IPA... Enjoy the difference!

HonkeyBra (2280) - Lemont, USA - OCT 30, 2009
Murky orange pour with white ring of head around the glass. Herbal, sweet aroma. Flavor isn’t as sweet: has a malty biscuity taste with light medicinal bitterness and odd herbal note. Odd yeast characteristics. KInd of flat. No real hops. This beer was like drinking some random concoction some strange relative made you to make you feel better when you’re sick.

aroma is decent breadiness hidden beneath a pile of crushed asprin. appearance is murky gold with zilch head and moderate lacing. flavor is strong ginger like flavor with more fresh bread and a dose of something more rotten, hops are unable to shine through this mess. what a strange beer.

Trev (1487) - Lakeville, Minnesota, USA - JAN 14, 2010
very hazy orange pour with a thick white head. Aroma is light sweet biscuity malt with an herbal hop and green tea presence. Tea flavours feature prominently and covers up a lot of the malt sweetness at first, though some breadlike sweetness is in there somewhere. Also a light herbal hoppiness and a kind of chalky mouthfeel to the finish.

12oz bottle. Pours a murky peach color with no head, ugly. Aroma is oddly sweet, some biscuits and crackers. Flavor is salty... blech... spat it out.

xnoxhatex (1305) - Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA - AUG 24, 2009
Bottle thanks to 17thfloor. Orange and cloudy with creamy off white head. Aroma is sweeter grain and biscuit malt with that same sand creek house smell. Flavor is light hops and medicinal with some chalk. Light and chalky body. Bleh.

Hazy, orange, yellow-tan color with moderate off-white head. Aroma is earthy; grass, hopps, and some sweetness. Taste is flat and somewhat bitter; hopps, malt and some citurs, possibly some ’green tea’ flavor.

nuplastikk (2612) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 30, 2009
12oz bottle. Opaque orange-tan color, foamy off white head. The aroma is strong and certainly unique, some earthy floral hops doused in a herbal green tea. Medium body, with some earthy, flowery hop character and an odd lemon-lime tea taste on top of the toasty malt. Some English IPA qualities, but pretty much a unique concoction. Doesn’t exactly work out so well, but the bottle hardly wreaks of freshness either. OK at best.

Dead aromas, faint leafy herbal nose. Tannic bitterness that doesn’t have much malt to balance it. Bleh.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of Bockyhorsey - Pours a cloudy dirty blonde color with no head. Faint lacing. Aroma is toasted malt and esters. Flavor is quite odd. It does kinda taste like tea. Weird. It’s not very bitter. Not getting much of the three C’s hops. A different beer for sure. Thanks Bill.

Deep amber colored body with a lightly off white head. I poured carefully, but saw some floaters that did not go anywhere. The aroma has notes of soapy lemons and grass. There is also some nasty cologne and musk. The taste was bitter with almond shells and some orange peels. The hops used in this have a lightly soapy quality. A light and relatively bland beer that still somehow offends.
