Commercial Description:
Fred Red is the best beer you’ve ever tried. This brew will arouse your senses with its refreshing aroma and pure malt-inspired body. This Irish style ale has a robust malty base which we balance with fresh hops grown in and around Fredericksburg. Our award winning master brewer blends in selective European hops for a fresh, bold finish. Treat yourself to its unforgettable flavor, creamy head, and deep red color.

22 oz. bottle pours rich ruby amber in color with little to no head which leaves a sticky lacing as it dissipates. Aroma is of mild berries and wood with malty undertones. Front palate is tart with malty middle and finish of hops. Bitter aftertaste, medium bodied. Adequate for the style but not likely one I’d recommend.

Taps at Capital Ale House Virginia Beer Festival. Aroma of vienna style malts with some grainyness. Clear amber brown with fine off-white head. Cereal and grain flavors with slight malt sweetness and some earthy hops. Medium body, well carbonated, finishes dry and clean.

22 oz bottle. Pours a brownish-reddish color, small head. Aroma is caramel and sweet malts. The flavor is a malt, with a touch of yeast to it. The beer goes down quite well, and does not have a finish that wishes you didn’t drink it at all.

Draft - Pours an amber red color with a medium head with slight lacing. Smells of sweet malt. Nice thin consistency with a bit of a sour finish. Nice overall flavor, looking forward to trying more B&G styles.

on tap-pours a thin retaining light brown head and copper color. Aroma is soft medium malt, secondary musty yeast. Taste is medium malt, secondary musty yeast, some buttery (on purpose). OK carbonation.
