Cask in the Flower Pot, Derby. Dark body with a small tan head. Coffee aroma. Flavours of coffee with strong caramel notes and something a bit meaty. I wasn’t sure about this at first taste, but it grew on me after a few sips.

On cask at the Holy Inadequate, Etruria. Pours black with slight tan head. Sickly sweet and flat. Hard work due to the sweetness. Disapppointed

Cask @ The Rutland Arms, Sheffield. The pour’s deep brown with a tiny khaki head. The aroma’s roasted nuts, a bit of raisin, chocolate syrup. Nice earthy roastiness to cut the sweetness. The taste is similar. A bit of bitter dark chocolate. Light roasted malts. Hints of sweet dark fruits. Smooth, easy-drinking stuff. Overall, not bad.

Cask, Derby Winter Fest 13. Very dark brown with a thin foam. Aromas are nutty with chocolate and milk chocolate. Weetabix with winter berries and floral notes. Earthy with hints of musty cheese. Flavours are chocolate and Weetabix with light roast coffee. Nutty with a lightly fruity finish. Decent.
