2.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
A- Juicy, tropical fruits, mango, soap.
A- Orange color, cloudy liquid, white head.
T- Tropical fruits, bitter, juicy, unbalanced.
P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, astringent finish.
O- Smelling this I had hopes for Blue Blood which is really a sad brewery. After the first taste I thought hmmmm, this might be okay. After a few more sips it gradually got worse. Lots of soapy tastes and a very unbalanced finish. This beer is worth a taste and not much else.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Very basic IPA. Mild and lightly toasted bready malts. Citrus on the nose and bitter pine on the palate. Tried at the Parkville Brewfest in 2015.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
ery dark straw body with a thin ring of bubbles. Looks like malt liquor. Nose-stale hops, soda water. Taste-bitter and fizzy like Alka-Seltzer. Tingly, bitter, chalky, soil. Very little hops in this IPA. The only hop influence is in the bitterness. Just too much like soda water to enjoy. Some flavor hops come through in the finish but it isnít near enough to save it.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz can picked up in a variety sixer. Pretty dark red color with plenty of haze and not much of a head. Pretty oxidized on the nose. Sweet caramel, cardboard, a touch of butter. Scratchy mouthfeel, a bit flat, with more oxidized hops. Not undrinkable, and would probably enjoy it fresher some time.

2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Type: 12-oz. can
Glass: Lagunitas mason jar
From: My friend Chad
Purchased: ?? (received it on Nov. 1, 2014)
Consumed: Nov. 6, 2014
Poured a dark orange, caramel, murky color with two fingers of frothy head. This was after I opened the can and it spilled everywhere flying out of the opening. A decent amount of foamy, spiderweb lacing along the sides of the glass. Good retention. (Sight - 4.00)
Smelled spicy imperial malts in the beginning. Got wet cascade hops, spicy imperial hops, peppery spices, light mint, lime, Citra hops, floral hops, menthol, honey, herbal hops, slight urine and some orange rind. (Smell - 3.38)
Tasted nothing like I thought after the smell and nothing good. Got medicine cabinet, rubbing alcohol, Ben-Gay, peppermint, herbal hops, menthol, honey, hay and manure. (Taste - 1.75)
Medium body. Thin texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Bitter, abrupt, mediciny finish. (Feel - 2.00)
This was not a good beer at all. It was a good-looking beer, but that was it. Maybe it was just spoiled, but ouch. (Overall - 1.88)

2.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: APR 29, 2015 In terms of what Iíve tried, this is one of Blue Bloodís better ales. This beerís strongest feature is its aroma. The scent is light but itís lovely. Floral freshness and tropical fruits like mango, pineapple, and peach shine through the sweet malt tones. The appearance is unexciting but the lacing is quite nice. I do wish this aleís taste was as complex as the aroma. As is, thereís a lot of sweet malt with some citrusy hop character mingling in there. Itís a decent taste really, but the aroma hints at something a lot better. Basically, this beer is the equivalent of a cocktease but for your palate - lots of titillation with little payoff. Oh well, this is still a good starter IPA for people that may not like them. Donít expect it to impress bona fide hopheads, though.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Can courtesy of TheHoff43: Even blend of caramel and pine aroma. Murky ochre, chunks, medium yellow head, lacy. Resinous, biting pine hop flavor that transforms to grapefruit peel. Quite bitter. Full body. Drinks like an IIPA.

Can. Pours a dark, hazy orange with white head. Aroma is hops, flavor is maltier than a typical IPA.
