2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Can @ Nebraska/UCLA tailgate. Pours a fairly clear dark orange appearance with an off white head. Fairly herbal, a bit spicy, soapy hoppy, light caramel aroma. Flavor is fairly bitter and soapy with some toasted malts and light fruity notes.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Can in Lincoln, NE. Pours a copper color with white head. Malty, bread aromas. Bread, sweet malty flavors. Pretty malty for an esb.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Can from Brewtopia. Pours golden with a barely existent khaki head. Doesnt leave much lacing innthe glass. Has a weird metallic thing on the tongue. Finish lingers a bit. Not a pleasant experience.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Can. Soapy malt aroma. Hazy gold with a moderate off-white head which dissipated immediately. Sour malt and herbal bitter hops flavor. Light carbonated body. Not especially pleasant.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours out of the superior package a completely opaque dark orange with no head. Actually sounds like a coca cola when it pours. Pretty bland. Slightly biscuity aroma and flavor. No real off flavors, just lack of flavors.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Medicine Hat Beerfest 2012. Can. Medium golden, average white head that fades fast. Lightly toasty malt , lightly grassy bitter hop accent. Simplistic and bordering on bland, but not awful. Wow, could this review be more mediocre?

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Can. Pours a hazy deep tawny into my Minneapolis Town Hall glass, thin off-white head, quickly reduces to naught. Poor lacing. Nose is bright and crisp, perhaps a bit sterile, but there is nothing really wrong here, no "boiled vegetables", which I seem to get out of so damn many ESBs these days... Notes of biscuit, light spice, a touch of gunsmoke/flint, and a bit of caramel apple. Flavours are gently hoppy, with a touch of "boiled vegetables", as well as just a scratch of butter, otherwise clean and spicy, with a nice biscuity character. Nothing to really complain about, just nothing to really make your heart race either.

Had this deliciously balanced ESB last night and was pleasantly surprised by how crisp the flavors were and the smooth finish. I was out on an adventure so I may caused a small disservice to the brew by drinking directly from the can. Overall a very tasty beer. It was also complemented well by the Citrus Mint shisha we were enjoying at the time.
