Eh. Not much body, and tastes like a beer-flavored seltzer water. Too bad; Happy to be home, even if not that happy.

Medicine Hat Beerfest 2012. Can. Hazy medium gold with a thick dense head that lasts (even in my sample glass!). Grainy metallic aroma with a hint of citrus. Sweet grains, a kiss of peach pit bitterness but no hop aromatics. Not very good actually.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 pintbypint (1972) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 7, 2012
12 fl oz can. Hazy golden pour, white head which fades to a thin layer quickly. No lacing. Nose is citrusy, some nice bright lemon and grapefruit notes. Taste has grainy malt, light caramel, citrus and pine. Lightly hoppy, some aftertastes of pine and a bit of earth. Light body, medium carbonation. Decent quaffable APA.

12oz can poured into a Franconia Brewing glass. Pours with a small, fast fading head. The beer is dark golden color with a strong hazy leading to a moderate clarity. Aroma is slightly muddled hops in a white bread maltiness. The hops peaking out are strong but not clean/clear, some citrus. Its strong and fresh but too much indistinct maltiness in the way. Flavor is pretty much the same, clean beer but boundaries between malts and hops are not clear. Citrus and orange peaking past the malt backbone. Bitterness is low but hop flavoring is high. Moderate carbonation with a medium mouthfeel. All in all an average APA that is fresh. Perfectly nice beer but nothing special. Like the can design.

Not half bad. Grabbed a can of this at Andrew Hilton in Lethbridge, Alberta. The pour is a light golden amber with a finger of dying head. The nose has a pronounced cereal and grain aroma with a light citrus hop and a bit of skunk. The flavor is quite similar with just a hint of mild astringent bitterness on the finish. Overall, clean and basic...

355ml can pours a golden color with a finger and a half of white head that settles quite quickly but does leaves some thin spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is light citrus and cereal grains. Taste is moderate citrus hop bitterness with some light malty sweetness. Body is light and carbonation is acceptable. A respectable pale ale, but there are many much better ones out there.

Has a citrus hops odor. Poured a gold semi clear with good lacing. Very bitter with a dry aftertaste. Tastes like I’m drinking pure hops.
