COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A classic India Pale Ale, RBJ is characterized by its high hoppiness. Aged over oak chips, RBJ has a good dose of hops thrown into the serving tank, a process known as dry hopping, which contributes to a very dry refreshing flavor.

Tap at the pub. Pours a burnt orange color that is clear as day. Soapy hops and light detergent aroma. Very floral in nature. Yes that describes it well. Light hop bitterness on the flavor with a gentle kiss of a finish. Has similarities to the pale ale; I want this one to have a greater presense. Some bitterness also finds it’s way to the finish.

5/12/10. On tap at the brewpub in a pint glass. The aroma is woody and smells like fried food... not good. The flavor starts immediately as salty seawater with a strange thick mouthfeel that makes it even worse. There is a hop bitterness eventually but by the time you get to it you don’t care. Awful.

Brew-Ha-Ha 2006. hazy amber with a nice white head. citrus and grapefruit aroma with a similiar flavor. hop profile was not as prominent as it could have been, but still a good IPA

Draft sampled at BrewHaHa 2006. The body was a cloudy dark orange with a slight off white head. The aroma was nice hoppy grapefruit rind with some earthy dirt and mushrooms. It was pleasant. The taste was piney with a little grapefruit with some bread crust.
