Commercial Description:
For the true microbrew afficionado. Chocolate and smoke tones accent this full bodied dark beer. The balance of hops and malt combine for a subtle aroma and a quick finish that is excellent with spicy foods or by itself.

tap at brewpub-week aroma of chocolate with slight burnt notes. thin meduim body with a fairly standard brown color going on. slightly better than the santa fe version, but still needs some work.

Pours dark brown with a tan head. Light roasted malt flavor and mild hops with some coffee notes. Finishes a little sour. Pretty thin porter but decent.

Dark burgundy-brown. Cigar-like smoky aroma plus some chocolate malt. Earthy flavor with light hops. A passable beer, but inferior to most porters. Some fruity sourness would have rounded this one off better.

Not quite what I was looking for at the time I guess. The flavor was decent but little heavy on the cocoa. It also just didn’t play right on the palate.
