ReRate-bottle hand bottled from Ted Rice, the head brewer. Im just going to add some notes to my origonal rating because it was pretty good. This is a very good bock IMO. I like the earthy hop notes, especially from this bottled version. Again, Thanks Ted for hooking me up with a bomber! whaleman (2168), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 2, 2003 Updated: Sep 4, 2004Reddish-brown body. Very malty with a prominent note of blueberries and a hint of chocolate and rum. Medium malty sweetness. Has a big, rich mouthfeel but is also very smooth. The alcohol bite is very apparent. Very unique and enjoyable as a long slow sipper.
Bottle-conditioned sample. Prominent grapey notes. Munich malts seem evident. Grapes and bread crusts abound in this beer.
