2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Slightly hazy dark brown. Smells chocolatey, oaty and a little bit nutty Tastes more like bland nuttiness and light chocolate. Not much residual sugar and not much roast. A bit thin - overattenuated. Leaves the beer lacking in roundness and balance.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft. Deep brown body with a tan head rapidly diminishing. Roasty aroma with notes of chocolate, lactose and chocolate. The flavor is moderately to heavily sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, moderate, but adequate, carbonation. Starts overly sweet, but bitterness from roast and hops cut it. Somewhat dry in the finish. Best of the lineup at Blue Corn.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at the brewpub. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of roasty malt, lactose, and smooth chocolate. Flavor of sweet malt, some roast, and a little chocolate. Very sweet, perhaps too sweet and the palate is weak. Not a fan.
