Hazy tan. The aroma bursts with hops - fruity and piney. Rich hops on the palate, slight resin, lots of Columbus goodness. Not much malt, but I’m not looking for much. Good, drinkable IPA. And it happens to be made with hops I like (I think mine had Amarillo in place of Cascade).

Pint @ brewpub. Nice citrus, "dank" and to a lesser extent pine aroma. Hazy golden orange color. Moderately strong bitterness that lingers, nice balance. A bit of toasty malt in the background, citrus, pine and resiny. A bit of a muddled flavor.

Cask (gravity dispense) at Great British Beer Festival, day 4 on 5 August 2011. One of a surprising number of beers from New Mexico at GBBF - how’d that happen? Darkish gold colour, and rather cloudy, perhaps not surprising given the journey and the shortage of time for set-up. A very decent little number. Not a blockbuster West Coast IPA but there’s no shortage or orange & grapefruit hop character with some herbal edges here. Very drinkable and enjoyable.

GBBF. Cask. Very hazy gold beer, tiny white head. Minerals. Decent fresh hops, fresh enough to sting a bit! Grapefruit, tangerine pith. Nice!

On cask at brewpub. Very clear amber. Bright citrusy (orange and pineapple) aroma. High hop oils remain throughout. It is a thin beer with insufficient malt character but has nice lingering bitterness and good drinkability. From regular keg at brewpub, is hazier than the cask version. Aroma is more piney. Hop character is also lively with bright forest flavors. Still thin and unexciting but not bad. 7-3-7-3-13
