whaleman (2168), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 26, 2004 Clear pale straw body with a clean white head. Aroma had just a note of sulfur remaining, but not detracting. Nose was also grassy with some light buttery pils malt character. Flavor had a note of citrus and more light buttery malt. Crisp bitterness finished this off very nicely. To call this easy drinking would be an understatement. This really cleaned up nicely when it reached its peak around late November. It was interesting to follow this the development of this beer, having tasted it from the fermenter, fairly young, and well-conditioned. Why can’t Miller or Busch brew this?
Terminus (1955), Illinois, USA Nov 22, 2004 tap at brewpub-pours pale yellow with nice fluffy white head. sweet, grassy, noble hop aroma-almost peppery. light crisp flavors. lots of pale malts. I detect noble hops and american hops in the flavor, giving the beer an almost piney/slightly citric bite in the hop profile. A great session ale that I could drink for a long time as I watch some football. I cant wait to see what Ted Rice does with his new brewery. It should be VERY good!!!!
