3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle:   Deep cola in color, thin to moderate light beige head, fairly nice lacing.   Seems to be mainly a vinous and woody nose.   Slight earthy mushroom and very soft roasted/burnt malts.   If you put this in
front of me blind, I would have never guessed Imperial Stout.   It becomes more tart as it warms, less Imperial Stout like.   Very vinous and woody, so far from what I expected from this beer.   Becoming very red wine like as
it warms.   Imperial Stout wise, its very minor or non-existant.   So its been over two years since this beer was bottled, and as of now, it does not resemble an Imperial Stout at all.   Its very vinous, woody, and slightly
dry.   Flavors or some red grapes and freshly shaven oak.   I really enjoyed this one, more than I thought I would, but as an Imperial Stout, I question how big their beer was to begin with.   If you want an Imperial Stout
that is not roasty, rich, or exceedlingly hoppy, but instead very vinous, woody, with a dry mouthfeel, then you want this one.   I would almost say this is more of an American Sour or Wild Ale.   Two years ago maybe an Imperial
Stout, but now, no way.   It remains enjoyable in the fact that I like tart, sour, dry woody beverages that has some vinous aspects.   If I were asked what I thought of this as an Imperial Stout, I would have said "huh?".

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber. Poured medium-deep brown with a tight-bubbled yellowy-beige head that settled down to a fine film rather quickly. The aroma picked up a whole bunch of red wine first and foremost.. sweeter cocoa, vanilla, and more grapes beneath.. aged oak and vanilla accented.. this came together very well. The flavor opened with tangy vinous notes and cherries, with sweet cocoa, molasses, and red wine behind.. cocoa gave a hit of bitterness on the edges, fruit skins and oak gave a bit of sourness, and alcohol provided some black pepper.. the warm, very winey finish worked great with the malt bill.. very tasty stuff! Medium-bodied and slick through the palate.. quite a bit of sourness from the barrel, but it really did work.. very dry with high carbonation.. not the greatest flow, but it was an excellent brew.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle… Tower of Power Sour Hour 2011… Murky, ruddy brown ale with a small, creamy, khaki head. The bouquet is very vinous and woody, offering additional notes of cocoa, caramel and red wine vinegar. Full-bodied with lively carbonation. This baby is chocolaty, nutty and delightfully tart - accompanied by modest yeasty bitterness. Finishes tangy, roasty and mildly bitter. The high level of alcohol is nearly imperceptible. Bottle courtesy of wavers1!

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A very very sweet aroma. Tons of sour. Some thick notes, but also extremely sour. The wine I think is the culprit...I hope. Otherwise, this deserves a much lower score. Not for me.
