Commercial Description:
This ale is made with a special roast of caramel malt, which gives it a lovely red hue and subtle caramel flavor. A large amount of hops is added late to the kettle and the fermentor, giving this beer a wonderful floral nose with hints of nectar and citrus carrying through to the palate. 23.6 IBU, 16.35 Plato, 7.65%

On tap at groggery. Not much love for the red either. It was malty, but misdirected as the flavors and palate were everywhere.

4 oz sample from the Blue Frog in Fairfield, CA. This was a thin-bodied beer with a malty carmel taste balanced out with a little bit of hops. One of the better beers I’ve had at the Blue Frog.

Tasted during the San Diego Fesival of Beer. Reddish color with smallish off-white head. Decent citrus aromas. Flavors were a little more toasted, with a nice hoppy finish. Not too bad

Auburn red in color with a small white head. Aroma of toasty caramel malt and a little bit of Pacific Northwest Hops. Nice caramel malt flavors. Not too sweet though. A little toasty malt too. Finish is mildly hoppy. Probably more crisp than anything. A nice amber ale. Probably the best thing I have had from this brewery.

Pours a fantastic deep red color. Big malty aromas and flavors. Nice big bitter finish. Excellent.
