COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This monstrous version of our IPA has been overloaded with everything from the malt to the hops, even the tunes we rocked out to during the brew day were huge. this bottle conditioned Double IPA is abound with aromas of citrus hops, English toffee, and fresh baked biscuits. Carmel notes, hoppy lovin’ and slight yeastie notes jump off your tongue.
Enjoy this bottle conditioned beer in a large snifter slightly warmer than normal with the one who keeps you warm at night.
82 IBUs

Aroma starts malty with apricot hints, not a good sign for me. I prefer my ipa to smell like a pine tree. It sits almost opaquely amber caramel in the glass, and laces well. Sweet is the first sip, and then bitter, and then sweet again. It’s a bit fizzy in a sharp way and the hops are in the wrong part of the taste. IMHO the hops should lead the taste in to a full malty (but not overly sweet) finish. This hints at being an IPA but doesn’t come through with the goods. I’ll drink it, but probably won’t bother buying it again.

Not the best beer, doesn’t hide the alcohol that well. Sweet then bitter taste, doesn’t showcase the hops very well. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Irishboy. Thanks, Richard!
Pours a decent cheddar orange with a grassy aroma of hops, sweet rosy bread, and a touch of diluted orange juice. Flavor is grapefruit juice with a sour mango element, tart orange pulp, and a touch of watered-down rose. Average mouthfeel. Not bad; kinda refreshing and light.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of caramel, grapefruit, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of grapefruit, malt, and caramel, leading to a dry and quite bitter finish.
