2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 SDbruboy (1864) - San Diego, USA - OCT 13, 2007
750 ml corked and caged bottle from BevMo LaJolla. Pours a slightly hazed orange-amber with a huge fluffy white head leaving some lacing. Aroma shows fruity malts with orange and pineapple, light brown sugar and honey notes, floral hops, grass and herbs. Flavor is an interesting combo of citrus, baking powder biscuits, tart and bitter herbs, alcohol, dust and cardboard, giving a lot of tart fruit and bitterness, not much malt balance. Medium to full body and moderate carbonation.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 5/20 Mcfa0779 (46) - SLC, Utah, USA - FEB 20, 2012
Not the best beer, doesn’t hide the alcohol that well. Sweet then bitter taste, doesn’t showcase the hops very well.
