COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The only info I could get for this beer was that it was a "spiced brown ale" according to the owner.

First flavor hit is cinnamon. Lots. Finishes cinnamon too. Really tasty. The chardonnay ladies really liked it. Good stuff.

on tap at gabf. note: brewer says that they use the same grains each year, but change the spices. this rating is for the 2006 edition, which was an amber color, with a nice full nose of cinnamon, cloves, and floral hops. Flavor followed the nose, with a pleasant slightly hopped end.

4 ounce sample on tap at the brewpub 12/16/06. Wow, this has a lot going on in the nose. There’s a whole lotta spiciness going on here. I THINK I detect some ginger present. I also smell some nutmeg as well. This basically smells like aspice cabinet and not much like beer. It is a pleasant aroma, though. Transparent copper body with a smallish light yellow frothy head. Extremely floral in flavor to start. Is there lavender in this or something? There also appear to be some fruity notes and some chocolate maltiness in the middle as well. The floral flavor returns later on and is almost overbearing. Light bitter hops in the finish. I also get some rubbery notes. This is extremely unique and there is a ton going on in this beer. Unfortunately, there is too much going on and it creates a muddy mess. Kudos for experiementation, though.
