The crisp, smooth Classic Lager is judged to be excellent with food, or by itself. It has a distinct malty smoothness and light amber color. Draught @ Capital Ale House: This one pours a clear golden color. There was a small white head on it that did not linger nor leave any lacing. Mild but decent nose. Some malts, touch sweet, corn, maybe some floral hops. The taste isn’t bad. Better than most beers of this ilk. Clean, crisp taste. Easy to drink.

Draft at the brewpub. Very clear pale yellow, small white edge head. Aroma of straw and white pepper. Taste is bitter citrus. Not bad.

Bomber from 2010. Pours a cloudy orange, no head but white lacing. Smells or orange, bubblegum, and maybe off hops. Very thin, tastes like a sweet lager, citrus throughout, but not offensive. Much better then I thought it would be but lager’s just aren’t my thing.

Pours a rich golden with a thin white head which vanishes quickly. The aroma was mainly spicy, with hints of grass and hay, with a graininess lingering in the background. Tastes of bread and some biscuit, cut through with a crisp clean bitterness. Quite nice.

Tap. Pours clear gold with a large, creamy and frothy white head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (grainy, hay, straw, cereal), light hops (spicy), and light esters (fruity) with vegetal notes. Flavor is heavy malt (grainy, hay, meal, cereal), light hops (spicy), and light esters (fruity) with vegetal notes. Light body, low warmth and creaminess, high carbonation with a dry and biting finish.

Clear light amber pour. Fizzy white head and spotty lace. Nicely carbonated . Corny aroma. Grains, grassy hops, and honey. Crisp finish. Overall very solid especially for a style I’m not too fond of.

22 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Market Fairfax. Pours a clear golden amber color with a medium head. Fair head retention and lacing. Sweet and grassy aroma... with honey and corn. Taste is pale lightly toasted malts, bitter grassy hops and light fruity notes. Fairly crisp and refreshing. Medium bodied.

Light golden coloured body with a thin white head. Mild aroma with some soapy scents and a bit of malt. Light-bodied; Strong assertive malt with a bit of hops. Aftertaste shows some cardboard, a bit of sweetness and nothing else. Overall, not horrible but obviously not the best! I sampled this six ounce sample from pseudo-draught at the Old Dominion 2005 Beer Festival on 24-June-2005 in Ashburn, Virginia.
