Thanks to weearepennstate. Pours a lightly hazy deep amber with orange notes and smaller bubbly off white head. Aroma of ginger, brown sugar, caramel, nuts and other notes of cinnamon, cardamom and orange. Flavor of was a mix of the same. Getting some candy sweet notes out of the flavor as well.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Thorpe429 (3823) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - FEB 18, 2011
I believe I picked this up at the Alexandria Whole Foods last winter. Reviewed from notes.
Pours a moderately dark brown with a faint tan head. Right from the start, the nose is just a spice explosion. Way more clove, cinnamon, ginger, and other spicing than I could possibly handle. The taste is even more over the top, as the spicing goes to a whole new level and I feel like I’m drinking a glass of carbonated water with Rudolph’s spice cabinet poured into it. Feel consists of a medium body with a dryness from all the spices. Drinkability is quite poor. This is not something I would recommend.

Bottle shared by argo0: Transparent dark copper amber with a thin ring of wispy white head. Aroma of sweet toasty caramel, licorice, cinnamon and pumpkin spice. Starts with average fullness and a semi-sweet doughy caramel malts with a decent balance of cinnamon and nutmeg spice before a more bitter watery finish with some lingering black licorice and light astringency. An ok spiced winter ale.

22oz bottle shared courtesy of weearesomeguywhocomesover138. Poured a medium and hazy amber color with a smaller sized white head. The name of this beer was spot on. Lots of spices, ginger, holiday spices, yankee Christmas candles with some caramel. Tastes of the same spices. If your bad is Christmas spices, get this one.

22 oz bottle. Pours a medium dark orange color with a small white head. Aroma is holiday spices, caramel. Flavor is again, holiday spices, though as others have said, it has characteristics of a pumpkin beer. Not a bad entry in a category that usually sees very mediocre beers.
